Marilyn DiMarco's love affair with photography began in high school. Fascinated by the technical "magic" of film and the darkroom, Marilyn spent hours mastering the technical aspects of photography and in the process fell in love with the art form.

Marilyn went on to graduate from the University of Maryland where she earned a Bachelor degree in Visual Arts and Photography. While in college, Marilyn was the photo editor for the college newspaper and freelanced for several local newspapers as a shooter.

Marilyn has been shooting weddings for years, and she considers it an honor to be asked to document such a special moments in a family's life. Marilyn is a photojournalist, who strives to capture and tell the story of the day through her images. She sees weddings as a photojournalist's dream because they are so full of wonderful, unexpected moments. Marilyn thrives on the challenge of finding those special moments and capturing them without disturbing the privacy of the moment.

Marilyn's work has been featured in galleries throughout Maryland and Washington DC. Her images have been published in various books, newspapers and magazines.

When not behind the camera, Marilyn spends her time with her husband and two sons, who all share a passion for travel.
